Monette Rae Traichal

“Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them but you know they are always there.” Monette R. Traichal, 66 of Niles, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by her loving son Michael, his wife Kim, Golden Girl sister Judy, sister Jolene AKA Brat and should have been a sister, niece Sharon. The sky will be so much brighter with her amazing light…

She was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Warren, the daughter of Joseph and Vera Gibbs Aubel.

Monette was a graduate of Leavittsburg, class of 1970 (last of the best) High School and she earned an associate degree from Jefferson Technical College.

Monette was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Warren. She was owner of Plant Industrial Advertising for 25 years and just recently started Regal Promotional Products.

Monette was a very active and generous person in the local community. She was on the board of Home for Kids, a member of the Home Builders Association, a sponsor of a bowling team, member of Valley Referral Network and was a member of the Royale Coach Club.

Don, get the bus started and Willie Nelson playing because she’s ready for another adventure. She loved traveling with her late husband Don to Key West, Fla. in their motor home, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren and family. Known as Mimi to her grandkids, she loved to have fun with them and show them the world.

Monette is survived by her son, Michael (Kim) Geddes of North Olmsted, Ohio; a step-daughter, Christine Traichal of Austintown; a brother, Dennis E. (Nancy) Aubel of Largo, Fla.; three sisters, Judith A. Dyer of Niles; Jolene Aubel of Park City, Utah; Candy Brom of Texas; six grandchildren, Kerrigan M. Geddes; Abigail Rae Geddes; Ryan J. Geddes; Vincent Wiseman; Naomi Wiseman; Nathan Wiseman; one great grandchild, Liam Geddes and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Traichal, whom she married on Jan. 26, 1981 and passed on Jan. 16, 2008; her parents; a brother, Joseph F. Aubel; a sister, Darlene K. Martin; and her special dad, Daniel W. Dyer.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Warren. The family requests that all family and friends meet at the church on Friday.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles. Entombment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Vienna.

In lieu of flowers, Monette’s family requests that material contributions to carry on her legacy be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County or Home for Kids in Niles.
