Angela Rae D'Urso

Angela Rae D’Urso, 59, of Niles, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, Ohio.

She was born April 20, 1965, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, the daughter of Anthony and Maria D’Urso.

Angela was the youngest daughter of three girls and three boys, and for over 40 years she helped run her family’s business, D’Urso Bakery. Angela was a 1983 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. When she was young, she enjoyed traveling to Italy to visit family, going out with her best friend Rachel or her two oldest nieces, Maria-Louise and Joanna and attending as many music concerts as possible with her best friend Clarence.

After retiring from the bakery in 2015, Angela cared for her parents in their later years. She loved coloring, playing cards, watching "Law and Order" with her son Tony and granddaughter Mia and caring for her animals. She was a big animal lover and donated to ASPCA every month for years. One of her fondest memories was taking daily walks through Stevens Park with her late dog Jack.

Angela was a tiny lady full of sass with a big heart. She is at peace now with her sidekick baby brother Ralph. Angela was an organ donor, helping others through Life-Banc.

Angela will be deeply missed by her son Tony D’Urso and granddaughter Mia of Niles, her two brothers, Anthony D’Urso and his wife Bridgette of Niles, Dominic D’Urso and his wife Antoinette “Toni” of Niles, her sister, Albina Sortini and her husband Jerry of Niles, her nieces, Maria-Louise and her husband Zachary, Joanna, Maria, Catherine, Carmella and her husband Ryan, Izzy, Annie, her nephews, Allan and Anthony, her close friends, Clarence, Rachel, Denise, MaryBeth and many others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Maria D’Urso; her brother Ralph D’Urso; her sister, Mary Ann McClimans; and her dog Jack.

A private family service will be held.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
