Carol A. Lepsesty, 77, of Niles, peacefully entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at her residence.
Carol was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Niles, the daughter of Michael E. and Mary Catherine Reese Shahaden.
Carol was a graduate of Alliance High School, a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles and a member of the Moose Lodge Women's Auxiliary.
A business woman, Carol was the former owner-operator of the Old Main Ale and Chowder House in downtown Niles. She also enjoyed watching her grandson Jordan's football and basketball games.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Ross Lepsesty of Niles and Greg (Bonnie) Bara of Arizona; daughter, Mary (Joe) Soda of Niles; a brother, Thomas (Edith) Shahaden of Calfornia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael Bara.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen Church in Niles with the Rev. James Korda officiating. Family and friends may call from 1 p.m. till time of service at the church.
Carol's family would like to send a special thank you to the staffs at Shepherd of the Valley Niles and Hospice of the Valley, and her nurse, Patty, for the wonderful care they provided to Carol.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the material contributions be made in care of the funeral home to be distributed to Carol's favorite charities by her family.
