Cecelia P. "Pat" Spisak, 81, passed away Friday May 30, 2025, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.
She was born November 26, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph Wayne and Helen Marie Brooks Young.
"Pat" as she was known to her family and friends, was a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish, St. Stephen Campus. Pat volunteered for the Red Cross Summer Swimming Program in Niles, teaching many children how to swim. She was known for her delicious homemade Kolachi and pizzelles.
She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, school activities and having them over for their favorite waffle breakfast.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Edward L. Spisak, whom she married on May 9, 1964; her daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Karim; a son, James (Deanne) Spisak; her daughter, Linda (John) Balogh; her daughter, Bridget (Bruce Jones) Gaugler; her daughter, Jennifer (Tim Clark) Walp; her son, Phillip (Gretchen Sprague) Spisak; two brothers, Robert (Laurie) Young and Thomas (Kristine) Young; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Spisak; two brothers, Ralph (Buzzy) Young, William Young; and son-in-law, Bruce Gaugler.
A Rite of Christian Service will be at noon, Wednesday June 4, 2025, at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio. 330-652-2422.
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, material donations be made to the Rescue Mission of Youngstown or the Warren Family Mission.
