Dan "DJ" DeChristofaro, 58, of Niles, died of natural causes Thursday, Feb.12, 2015, at his residence.
He was born April 1, 1956, in Warren, the son of Danny and Mildred Pindrock DeChristofaro.
A lifelong area resident, Dan, known as DJ to his family and friends, was a 1974 graduate of Niles McKinley High School.
He worked as a car buyer for Franklin Park Lincoln-Mercury car dealership for the past 10 years, and before his job now, he was a self-employed car buyer for various car dealers in the area for 30 years. He also was a former Weathersfield Township policeman.
Dan enjoyed woodworking, fishing, dogs, cars and going to the casinos with his friends.
Dan is survived by a daughter, Daniele LaPierre of Niles; his mother, Mildred; three sisters, Judy (Brett) Haughawout of Niles, Mary Ann (Dan) Nowacki of Toledo and Lou Ann Kiger of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles. Deacon Michael Hanshaw will officiate. Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made in care of the funeral home to be distributed to Dan's favorite charities by his family.
