David Wade Biddlestone

So sorry to read of David's passing. My condolences to all who loved him. We were in the same grade. One day after WJH gym class, someone bigger than this still-skinny kid started to bully me big time. Just then David, tall, square-shouldered, and solid, came around the corner, saw it, and just said, "Leave him alone". He sounded serious. They went away. I didn't know he ever noticed me--just said an occasional hi. Before there was ever a campaign to stop bullying, he had it down. My thanks.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. My deepest condolences to you Doreen, the children, and Susan and Sandy. I have very fond memories of Dave back to the days when I was the family's Niles Times delivery guy on Linden Avenue. I can remember Dave sitting at the desk at the bay window when I came to deliver the paper. He always had a smile and a wave. I also remember playing football with him in junior high school. Although he was a beast on the football field, he left it all on the field and was so kind, polite and friendly off the field. I know he will be sorely missed by all. He was truly a gentleman and a kind and loving soul.
