Dolores "Dolly" Liberati Obituary
Berea-Dolores J. "Dolly" Liberati, 88, formerly of Niles, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Generations Berea with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 8, 1937, in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Alice Dzak Lepo.
“Dolly,” as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
She was owner of the Calico Cupboard in Niles for many years and enjoyed flower gardening. The time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren was very dear to her. She was affectionately known as “Bubba” to them.
Dolly enjoyed crafting, reading, watching movies and rooting for the Cleveland Guardians.
Dolly is survived by her son, Edward (Cindy) Liberati of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter, Cristina (Gregg) Scharrer of North Royalton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Cristina (Samantha) Stauffer, Preston Stauffer, Blake (Devona) Liberati, Hannah Liberati, Sean (Annie) Liberati, Christopher (Anna) Scharrer, Alexis Scharrer, Megan Scharrer and one great grandchild, Codi Stauffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Liberati, whom she married September 21, 1963; her daughter, Brenda Liberati Stauffer; and a brother, Robert Lepo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 14 at noon at Saint Pope John XXIII-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Burial will be at St. Stephen Cemetery.
