E. Louise Richards, 85, of Cortland, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, at Cortland Healthcare Center.
She was born July 12, 1930, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of Lillian Wright.
Louise, as she was known to everyone, attended Sharon High School and was a member of the Amvets Post 290. She worked at Packard Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1995 as an inspector.
Louise enjoyed gardening, bowling, and traveling. The time that she got to spend with her family was very precious to her.
Louise will be missed by her children, sons, John W. (Phyllis) Schuster of Niles and William P. (Mary Beth) Schuster of Farrell, Pa.; daughters, Suzanne (Lenny) Santagata of Warren, Joanne (Rodney) Stevens of Fowler and Dianne (Bill) Schuster of Champion; brother, Ed (Cheryl) Clayton of Brookfield; sister, Ann Serb of California; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Richards, whom she married in 1977 and passed in 2013; her mother; and a son, David T. Schuster, who passed away in 2007.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25 at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH, 330-652-2422. Pastor John Talkington will officiate.
Calling hours for family and friends will be from 3 p.m. until time of service.
Burial will be in West Mecca Cemetery.
The family request that material contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
