James W. Comer

James W. Comer, 94, of Niles, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Continuing Health Care of Niles.

He was born May 17, 1931, in Niles, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Helen Bahn Comer.

James worked at Packard Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed electronics, woodworking, camping and was a radio repairman.

James is survived by two sons, Donald (Banita) Comer of Raleigh, North Carolina and James A. (Debbie) Comer of Charlotte, North Carolina; three daughters, Linda (John) Chechitelli of Youngstown, Peggy Lucas of Warren and Sandra (Mike) Dean of Niles; a brother, Jerry (Mary Lou) Comer of Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl W. Wright Comer, whom he married of October 29, 1955 and passed March 3, 2021 and a brother, Joseph Comer.

As per James’s wishes, there are no services.

Burial will take place in Niles City Cemetery.
