John C. Grantz

John C. Grantz, 68, of Leavittsburg passed away Monday August 31, 2015, at 2:45 a.m.

John was born on October 6, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, the son of John D. and Dolores Scott Grantz.

John was a life long area resident and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed collecting toys and coins. He was a self employed truck driver for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First Church of God in Niles for many years.

John is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Leet Davidson Grantz, whom he married on July 26, 1986, four sons John Grantz of Orlando, Fla.; Joe Wolfe of Girard, Ohio; David Davidson of Leavittsburg, Ohio; Shawn Davidson of Warren, Ohio; a daughter Florence Marie Hayden of Cortland, Ohio; a brother Pastor Michael Grantz of Garrettsville, Ohio; four sisters, Carol Daniels of New Middletown, Ohio; Penny Hart of Arkansas; Beth McDuff of Arkansas; Edna Uhran of Youngstown, Ohio; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Roger Grantz, Tim Grantz, Jerry Grantz, sister Kris Ann Grantz and daughters Ruth and Mary Grantz.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 4, 2015 at 11 a.m, at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio, with Pastor Michael Grantz officiating.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Vienna Township Cemetery.
