John D Guerini

John D. Guerini,68, of Niles died Saturday April 4, 2015 at 10:13 a.m. at the Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland.

John was born October 26, 1946 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of John and Wilma Maxine Wall Guerini.

John was a graduate of Howland High School the Class of 1964 and worked in the shipping Department  at U.S. Steel Co. He enjoyed collecting marbles and was a great story teller.

John was a very proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Purple Heart medal. He was a member of the American Legion and the Purple Heart Club.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Milligan Guerini, whom he married on September 16, 1989; three sons, John Q. (Kerry) Guerini  of Fayetteville, West Virginia; William S. Guerini of Warren, Ohio; Joseph A. Guerini of Niles, Ohio; two daughters, Angella (Casey) Eichenlaub of Columbus, Ohio; Katina L. Guerini of Niles, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles. Family and friend may call from 4 p.m. until time of service.
