John R. Sudol Sr.

John R. Sudol Sr., 85, of McDonald, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 25, 1938, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Frank and Mary Telego Sudol.

John was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Mineral Ridge and worked in the oilfield business for 40 years. He enjoyed working on cars and fabricating projects in his garage.

John is survived by his loving wife, Mary D. Abston Sudol, whom he married on June 5, 1959; his two sons, John Sudol Jr. of McDonald, Ohio and Tom (Lisa) Sudol of Vienna, Ohio; three brothers, Ronald Sudol, Frank Sudol and Chester Sudol; four grandchildren, Shawn Sudol, TJ Sudol, Ava Sudol, Nathan Sudol; and his ex-daughter-in-law, Darlene.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Flere.

As per John’s wishes, there are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Mineral Ridge on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m.
