Mabel "Carole" F. Neilan

Mabel F. (Carole) Neilan, 83, of Niles, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Shepherd of the Valley Howland.

She was born August 16, 1941, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of George and Betty James Gardner.

Carole was a member of St Pope John XXIII Parish, St. Stephen Church in Niles. She worked for Packard Electric as an inspector for 30 years. She was a member of the ITAM 39, Niles Eagles and the Moose in Warren.

Carole is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas P. Neilan Sr., whom she married on November 21, 1960; a son, Donald Neilan of Howland; her daughter, Tracy Neilan of Texas; five grandchildren, Brandon Neilan, Christian Neilan, Shawn Neilan, Jessica Dinges, Kelly Dinges; and three great-grandchildren, Ava, Sophia and Cash Neilan.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas P. Neilan Jr., who died March 1, 2024.

As per Carole’s wishes, there are no services. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
