Martha Anne Mahoney, 92, of Niles, died Friday, May 27, 2016, at her residence.
She was born July 11, 1924, in Youngstown, the daughter of Fred and Betty Doughton Mahoney.
Martha was a lifelong area resident and worked as a nurse in several doctor's offices in the area. She retired from work as a secretary for the Niles SCOPE in 1982. She was a graduate of Rayen High School, class of 1942, and attended Miami University of Ohio.
She was a member of St. Stephen Church in Niles, Niles Football Boosters and St. Stephen Home and School Association. She enjoyed golf, following the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Indians and playing cards.
Martha is survived by two sons, Paul "Rick" Mahoney of Houston, Texas, and Tom Mahoney of Bluffton, S.C.; and a daughter, Dr. Sally Lewis of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
As per Martha's wishes, there are no calling hours or services.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
The family requests that material contributions be made, in Martha's name, to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County Inc.
