Maureen Carroll Obituary

Maureen Carroll, 56, of Niles, formerly of Avella, Pa., passed away peacefully 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Kobacker House in Columbus with her loving family by her side after a long battle with cancer.

Maureen was born March 5, 1959, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Edward A. and Mary Lou Roy Blasini.

Maureen was a graduate of Avella High School and was of the Catholic faith. She worked at Marcs Grocery Store as a department supervisor.

She was very active in Niles Soccer Booster Club and the Niles Football Mothers Club. She enjoyed camping, bingo and going to the beach.

Maureen is survived by her son, Ryan P. Carroll of Niles; her daughter, Kelsey M. Carroll of Niles; her mother, Mary Lou Blasini of Avella, Pa.; a brother, Ed (Dee) Blasini of Hilliard; a sister, Mary Ellen (Chris) Macfarlane of Oakdale, Pa.; a nephew, Brad Blasini; a niece, Morgan (Ryan) Gill; and a great-niece, Lydia Gill.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, 330-652-2422. Family and friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service Sunday.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, material contributions be made to Kobacker House in Maureen's name.
