Robert L. Hitchcock Sr.

Robert L. Hitchcock Sr., 93, of Niles passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Continuing Health Care of Niles.

He was born March 13, 1932, in Warren, Ohio, the son of William and Eva Hitchcock.

Robert was a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Campus. He worked at Republic Steel as a electrician for 29 years and was a lineman for the city of Niles for eight years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert L (Dawnelle) Hitchcock Jr. of Masury, Ohio; his daughter, Phyllis J. Wilson of Niles; and five grandchildren, Jeffery Cranston, Jennifer Cranston, Erica (Katy) Wilson,  Andrew (Nadia) Hitchcock and Gabriel Hitchcock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Nori Hitchcock, whom he married on October 22, 1951 and who passed on April 12, 2024.

As per Robert’s wishes, there are no services.

Burial will be in Pine View Cemetery.
