Stella DiCintio, 96, formerly of Niles, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024, at Aventura Assumption Village Nursing Home.
She was born February 2, 1928, in Girard, Ohio, the daughter of George and Mary Faro Jorza.
Stella married her husband, Thomas N. DiCintio on January 13, 1950, and together they shared 61 years of marriage and raised four children.
Stella was a hard worker. She was employed and retired from Packard Electric and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, movies and crafts. She especially enjoyed crocheting. She donated afghans to various nursing facilities and charities.
Stella leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Thomas and Leona DiCintio, Debbie and Rick Gedeon, Michele and Jim Benedict, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a brother, Chuck Jorza and a sister, Flo Colantone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas N. DiCintio, who passed on September 15, 2011, and her daughter, Gail Biamonte, who passed on December 27, 2019.
As per Stella’s wishes, a private family service will be held. There are no calling hours.
Entombment will be in Niles City Cemetery.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Dementia/Alzheimer’s Association.
