Thomas Lee Bennight, 69 of Akron, formerly of Niles, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Akron City Hospital.
He was born May 12, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of James Gordon and Ruth Mowery Bennight.
Tom lived and made his home in Niles, Ohio from when he was a baby until 2010, when he moved to Akron, Ohio, where he made his home until his death.
When he lived in Niles, Tom was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He retired at the age of 65 as a factory worker.
Tom loved music, playing his guitar and watching NASCAR and football. He was a big fan and believer in President, Donald Trump.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Leah Marie Bennight, two grandchildren, Haley Marie Bennight and Vincent Cain Allen; one great-grandchild, Grayson David Bennight; two brothers, Lee (Gloria) Bennight and Donald (Diana) Bennight, with whom he made his home in Akron. Tom had a special loved one, Grace Rietta for which they shared 23 years together.
Tom will be missed, until we meet again and forever loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Raymond George Bennight and James Gordon Bennight Jr.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 10, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio.
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio.
