Thomas Lee McCloskey, 81, passed away at 1:04 a.m. on September 5, 2024, at his home.
He was born February 24, 1943, in Warren, Ohio, the son of John and Isabella McCloskey.
Tom enjoyed his career as the head mechanic for the city of Niles. He was known for his love of bowling, snow skiing and golfing. He was also known to play golf even in snowy conditions.
A proud Marine and dedicated Ohio State football fan, Tom was a genuinely sociable individual who could strike up a conversation with anyone.
Tom is survived by his children, Randy (Alison), Cindy, Michelle, Marci, and Marilyn: siblings, Jack and Ruth Anne,: along with 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Connie and wife, Beverly, whom he married on July 15, 1972.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 10 a.m. -11 a.m. at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio. 330-652-2422. The Trumbull County Honor Guard will conduct a Military Service at 11 a.m. in recognition of his service to his country.
The family asks in lieu of flowers please donate to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County in support of his love for animals.
