Vincent E. Schuyler Jr,

Vincent E. Schuyler Jr., 60, of Girard, Ohio, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio with his loving family by his side.

He was born January 11, 1964, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Vincent E. (Sonny) and Leanna Vennis Schuyler.

Vincent was a graduate of Girard High School. He was awarded a certificate of excellence by the Choffin Center for his skill in Sign Language and was one of 61 students named to Who’s Who in American Colleges & Universities to be recognized for his academic achievements. He was a graduate of Youngstown State University with a BA degree in Social Work and Spanish. He was a member of the Sigma Pi International Honor Fraternity.

For 30 years, Vincent worked at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC as an Assistant to the Director of Ambulatory Care. He was also published in multiple medical journals.

He took pride in his home, enjoyed traveling, pampering his dogs and spending quality time with his wonderful family and friends.

Vincent is survived by his husband of 36 years, Joseph Oldaker, three sisters, Kathi (Mark) Hollenbank of Girard, Denise (Steve) Horsley of Girard, Deanna Schuyler of Girard and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent E. (Sonny) and Leanna Schuyler.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, Ohio.

Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
