William A. Gress

William A. Gress, 72, of Warren passed away Monday January 20, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren.

He was born June 20, 1952, in Sagamore, Pennsylvania, the son of Floyd and Theresa Buynak Gress.

William retired from Fairhaven school where he worked as a Custodian for many years. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, fishing and all his four-legged furry friends through the years. The time that he spent with his family was very precious to him and he was well known for having a phrase or word for everything.

William is survived by two sons, Joseph (Joy) Doran of Niles, William A. Gress Jr. of Warren, his daughter, Virginia (Christopher) Fox of Niles, a brother, Vincent McNevin of Indiana, Pa., three sisters, Virginia White of Warren, Patricia Frank of Niles, Helen (John) Cramer of Niles and eleven grandchildren, Celeste, Alaina, Zack, Haley, Leaha, William, Benjamin, Willow, Jakob, Lillie and Jennie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David McNevin, Frank Gress and four sisters, Theresa Harker, Daisy Beall, Rose Gress and Shirley Bays.

A celebration of William’s life will be held at a later date.
